DAVID FLOWER
President & CEO
David Flower brings more than 30 years of experience within the IT industry to the role of President and CEO of Volt Active Data. David has a track record of building significant shareholder value across multiple software sectors on a global scale through the development and execution of focused strategic plans, organizational development, and product leadership.
RUTH MORGENSTEIN
VP, Engineering
Ruth Morgenstein serves as Vice President of Engineering at Volt Active Data, where she leads the company’s product development, quality assurance, technical support, security, and documentation teams. With more than 20 years of experience building and scaling enterprise-grade software, Ruth has been instrumental in shaping Volt’s engineering organization since joining in 2011. She built the company’s QA and Customer Support teams from the ground up and continues to drive operational excellence across the product lifecycle. Before Volt, Ruth held senior engineering leadership roles at Rue La La, Mathsoft (acquired by PTC), and Art Technology Group (acquired by Oracle). She holds a BSE in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
DHEERAJ REMELLA
Field Chief Technology Officer
Dheeraj Remella is the Field Chief Technology Officer at Volt Active Data, where he works closely with customers, prospects, and partners to architect real-time data solutions that meet the demands of today’s most mission-critical applications. With over 20 years of experience building enterprise solutions across industries, Dheeraj bridges the gap between product innovation and practical implementation. He has played a key role in Volt’s strategic growth, bringing deep technical insight and a passion for enabling businesses to make data-driven decisions at lightning speed. Dheeraj holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Madras University.
STEPHANIE LEVETIN
VP, Finance
Stephanie Levetin brings over 20 years of experience in finance, administration, legal, and human resources to her role as Vice President of Finance at Volt Active Data. She has a strong track record of guiding early-stage companies from formation through acquisition, implementing the financial controls and operational frameworks that enable scalable growth. At Volt, Stephanie oversees all financial operations and plays a critical role in ensuring the company’s long-term financial health and efficiency. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bentley University.
ADRIAN SCHOLES
Chief Marketing Officer
Adrian Scholes brings over 30 years of technology marketing experience to his role as Chief Marketing Officer at Volt Active Data, where he leads global strategy, brand, demand generation, and communications. He has built and scaled marketing teams at startups and global enterprises, with a strong focus on driving pipeline, accelerating sales, and boosting brand visibility. Since joining Volt, Adrian has led the company’s rebrand, repositioning it to reflect its real-time data mission. He also spearheads Volt’s digital-first marketing approach, aligning tightly with sales, product, and customer success to fuel growth. Adrian holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from the University of Huddersfield.
JUSTIN HANCOCK
VP, Field Engineering
Justin Hancock brings over 25 years of experience in customer success, pre-sales engineering, and technical program delivery to his role as Vice President of Field Engineering at Volt Active Data. He leads the pre-sales and customer success teams, ensuring customers receive world-class support from first engagement through production deployment. Before joining Volt, Justin held senior leadership roles at Cloudera, leading global Customer Success teams across public and private cloud environments. He has a proven track record of building and scaling technical partnerships with enterprise vendors including Intel, Red Hat, VMware, and DELL, and has deep expertise in helping customers unlock business value through real-time, mission-critical data systems. Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology from Bournemouth University.

John joined Sigma in 1996. With more than 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, a business unit manager, and investor, John uses motivation, enthusiasm, and his own technology and operational expertise to support Sigma’s portfolio companies. Throughout his career, he has held executive management positions, created new business units and departments, and sponsored new projects at some of the industry’s most successful technology companies.
IMAD MOULINE
CTO, Everbridge, Inc.
Imad is currently CTO at Everbridge Inc (EVBG), a Burlington, MA tech firm that IPO’d late last year and is the leader in the provision of critical communications. Imad is a graduate of MIT and has held numerous senior/CTO roles in several tech companies in the New England area. Imad is well-versed in the challenges of small/medium sized software companies, and in particular around product strategy, positioning, and external analyst/events.
ERIC SCHURR
Independent Board Member
Eric Schurr is a senior executive with a track record of successive corporate wins. He has held key management and leadership positions in the high-tech sector and has played an instrumental role in an IPO and many successful acquisitions. Highlights include his roles as CMO and General Manager for public company that grew from $100M to $825M in five years and was acquired by IBM for $2.2B+, CMO and VP Product Management on exec team that drove a startup from $600K to $25M and IPO, and CMO for $60M SaaS company acquired for $295M in the largest 2009 tech deal on East Coast.
JO TANGO
Partner, Kepha Partners
Jo Tango is the founder of Kepha Partners and has been an active venture capitalist since 1998. He was a founding or early institutional investor in companies such as Azuki Systems (acquired by Ericsson), Carbon Black (NASDAQ: CBLK, acquired by VMware), Vertica Systems (Hewlett-Packard), StreamBase Systems (TIBCO), and Volt Active Data, among others. Previously, Jo was a General Partner at Highland Capital Partners, with earlier experience at Bain Capital, Bain & Company, Wasserstein Perella, and Salomon Brothers. Born in Indonesia, Jo emigrated to the U.S. with his family and a dream—one that now fuels his personal mission to “leverage capitalism for altruism” through his family’s angel investing program. Dr. Michael Stonebraker is the founder of Volt Active Data and a pioneering force in the world of data management systems. A Turing Award recipient and Professor at MIT, Dr. Stonebraker has spent decades shaping the future of databases through groundbreaking research and innovation. He launched Volt Active Data in 2009 to address the performance demands of modern applications requiring real-time, high-throughput data processing. With a track record that includes founding Ingres, Postgres, Vertica, and StreamBase, Dr. Stonebraker is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in database architecture and enterprise data infrastructure.
